Beautiful Place – February 2018
Perfect for a weekend getaway. Just the right size.
Great Cabin For Relaxing
Phil S – January 2018
Beautiful area and a well appointed cabin. The location overlooks a pretty river with boulders and huge rhododendrons, however there is a two lane road within 30 yards of the cabin. The cabin was well equipped and the only recommendation I have is to include a drip coffee maker instead of just the Keurig. That river scenery, deck and fireplace was made for a big pot of coffee. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the close proximity to the highway. Considering it was winter when we stayed, during the other seasons, the landscaping and foliage will probably drown out the cars going by. When you’re on the decks overlooking the river you won’t notice the road. Sometimes when you’re inside the cabin you hear cars on the road. It’s not too bad. We’d come back.
Great Weekend Stay!
Kristin H – October 2017
Loved our stay at the Riverfront Cabin. It was beautifully appointed and well-equipped. Communication with management was smooth and effortless. We received a detailed email with check-in instructions and codes prior to arriving, and everything went as planned. The outside decks were amazing and we enjoyed drinking morning coffee or an evening glass of wine overlooking the river. Our kids loved the loft, and the space was perfect for a family of four for a weekend getaway.
Gorgeous Cabin….Very Clean!
Joy N – September 2017
Great place for a couple or small family! It is very easy to get to. Beautiful cabin has everything you need in it for a short stay. It is right off the road but the sound of the creek definitely muffles the traffic.
Fantastic! Peaceful and Serene Getaway!
Judd H – September 2017
This property was absolutely delightful. Well suited for a couple or a family with small children. The cabin is small, one room with a loft but the owners have spared nothing for decoration and furnishings. Home sits next to other cabins but backs up to the river and woods so it has a very private feel. We spent tons of time on the back porch, that is furnished with comfortable couch & chairs, and my boys loved watching football on the outdoor TV. We enjoyed the amenities, the fishing ponds, it was simply a wonderful stay. Wish it lasted longer!
Sharron – July 2017
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Traffic is a bit noisy during the day, but not at night. We spent our days on the back covered porch. River noise helps to drown out the traffic noise.
Also, wish it had a small table and chairs behind the swing on the porch. We ate out there and when it rained we just ate on little side tables there.
Beautiful property. We will be back
The River Sound Cabin
Jennifer L. Williams – May 2017
We spent Memorial Day weekend at this “cabiminium” and it was simply amazing. The space entails one big room with a nice modern kitchen, dining table, seating area with tv, fireplace and a very comfortable queen size bed. There is an open loft that has 2 smaller beds which was perfect for our 13 yr old. The outdoor space is just beautiful with the Elk River running right below the decks. (YES, there are multiple decks to relax on.) We slept with the sliding doors open and the soothing sound of the river made for a perfect night’s sleep. The location is easy to get to and central to Banner Elk and places like the lovely Banner Elk Winery. We look forward to staying there again. It’s a perfect couple’s getaway!
Wonderful River Side Decks Could Not Have Been More Enjoyable!

Beautiful Home Beautiful Location!

My husband and I enjoyed 4 nights in this beautiful home. Peaceful location yet just minutes from downtown Banner Elk. Beautiful outdoor living space which backs up to a creek. Would stay here again!

PERFECT WEEKEND GETAWAY!!!
Megan M – November 2016
Where to begin. If you are looking for a quite getaway with your spouse, or if you have small children and would like to visit the mountains–this is the perfect rental. Everything about the property is special. My wife and I rented the cabin for the weekend. Upon our arrival on Friday evening our 2 children (11 and 7) were so excited. The cabin is a one room structure with an exposed loft that sleeps 2 comfortably. The cabin has a rustic feel while all of the appliances and amenities are state of the art. The master king bed was very comfortable. The property is located beside a stream and the relaxing sound of the stream was so peaceful. The owners clearly spared no expense in designing this cozy getaway. The Bedding, TV, Shower, washer-dryer, TV outside on porch were all perfect. Selfishly, I hesitate to write this review because I would like to keep this gem a secret. The amenities in Eagles Nest across the street (basketball court, disc golf, and playground) were also an added bonus that we plan on utilizing on our next trip. Go ahead and book this cabin, you will not be disappointed.
