A Traditional Irish Inn20 Guest Rooms, many furnished with antiques and collectibles. In the upstairs south wing the rooms are furnished with locally crafted classic bedroom suites in mission, English country, and Shaker traditions. All have private baths. All are centrally heated and air-conditioned.
Of the eight rooms on the ground floor, two rooms are wheelchair accessible. Six rooms offer queen beds; two of the rooms on the ground floor offer a full size bed. The downstairs rooms are perfect for a couple’s comfort.
The two upstairs wings have a total of twelve rooms, six on each wing. All rooms have cathedral ceilings. Eight rooms offer one queen-size bed and one loft with a full-size bed that will accommodate up to four guests. One room offers a full-size bed on the lower level and the loft full-size bed. In the remaining three rooms, two of these are furnished with two twin beds in the walk-in area, and a full-size bed in the loft. The third room has three twin beds in the walk-in area, and a full size bed in the loft that will accommodate a family of five (three children and 2 parents). Additional accommodations can be arranged.
We have a full service dining room with seating for 38 in the dining room and for 24 in the pub. Many more can dine on the back porch and under our new outdoor pavilion when weather permits. The pavilion is used for outdoor weddings, anniversaries, and family gatherings. Dinner is served Friday and Saturday evenings. Hours and days change seasonally. A complimentary continental breakfast is served on weekdays, Monday through Friday. On the weekends we offer either an order-off-the-menu breakfast or an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet for $8.95. The menu features American and Irish favorites and a full Irish breakfast, complete with Irish banger sausages from County Cork.
Mike’s Irish Pub, seats 24 friends and family for good conversation, a bit of blarney, and with live music every Saturday and some Fridays. There’s plenty of Guinness, Smithwicks, and Yuengling served on tap, a selection of other imported beers plus some all-American favorites. We also have a selection of classic liquors and wines. In a small room just off the pub there’s satellite TV, for those who just can’t miss the big game or the latest news.
Easy access to the exhilarating central Appalachians. (a 20 minute ride from the Snowshoe/Silvercreek ski resort.) This is West Virginia’s Big Mountain Country, home of the best skiing in the Mid-Atlantic and South, best mountain biking in the East, excellent trout fishing, stunning scenic drives, hiking, caving, rock climbing, superb championship golf, Civil War sites, antique mountain train tours, exceptional traditional music, access to mountain music workshops, and many remnants of early America that are very much a part of life here today.
